** Noted that BC returns 78% of its production.
** Morehead says he's focused on putting the team in the best spot. Believed they have every tool they need. Last year was very difficult. It's been a great offseason for every position group.
** Was there pressure to get Flowers the ball? "Not pressure, he's just open, so get him the ball." Man to man was always a mismatch. In zone he'd give a checkdown and he'd turn it into a huge touchdown reception.
** Morehead said O'Keefe's straight line speed is better than Zay's. Zay's start-stop and lateral ability is how he got separation.
** Ezeiruaku on combating more attention: Scheme will play a big role so he doesn't have to do too much. There are a couple of guys you haven't seen and guys getting back up front on defense. If you double him, they'll get one on one blocks.
** Shitta Sillah is someone they've talked about a lot. Ezeiruaku calls him a "freak athlete" who doesn't boast or brag. Long arms, 6'4, and fast. He's an athlete. People don't understand how athletic he is so everyone's excited to see how he does in his last season.
** Do you plan celebrations? Ezeiruaku gets a call from "the big bro", someone he knows well, and they coordinate the celebration.
** Morehead asked about the offensive line: "Night and day difference." Got Logan Taylor, Morehead's OL from his high school, and they'll be roommates. Lot of faith in him, and Kyle Hergel from Texas State, again the viral video is cited. "Those are guys that will go to battle and they've been tested before." Drew Kendall "is going to be amazing," one of the best centers in the country. Very smart, hardworking. Believes Mahogany will be the top guard in the country. Calls Ozzy one of their most underrated players; 6'8, 315, very athletic. "A lot of these guys are NFL prospects." Being able to run the ball will set up play action.
** Players mention that the coaches had their back through all the hard times last year. Hafley rejoins the conversation on ACC Network to a good laugh because of the timing with "coaches having their back." Morehead said he has a whole new appreciation for the guys up front.
** Asked about the walk-off win against NC State, Hafley said that was the most emotional moment he's had in a win. You fall behind, it's 14-0 before you could blink. Morehead's taking shots. It's 3rd and long. When Marcus intercepted the ball he hugged him. Hafley ran out and hugged his players. His wife was there, the locker room was special. "That's why you coach.... Those are the moments you coach for." It's not always the championship win. When you get through stuff together and the emotion's real, that's when you know the future is bright.
** Ezeiruaku wants to get into football media and said he thinks he's got the smile for it.
