Smoke and Mirrors

Look, anyone who has watched this team this season knew BC was not a good team.

Some talented players? Yes.
Lots of talent? No.
Coaching? LOL.

Lost to NIL. Got absolutely SMOKED by UL and VT (a bad team). Sqeaked by a handful of crap teams. Honestly, the best game of the year was the loss to FSU. Castellanos is not a QB - as KStone said in his article, Tommy TD is a RB who happens to line up at QB. I like the kid and want him to succeed but he can’t throw accurately. Every D from here on out will play the run because there is no passing game. Losing O’Keefe hurts but that’s not the reason we have no passing game.

VT is not a good team and they absolutely emasculated BC yesterday. Everyone from Halfley down to the lowest level assistant and every player should be outright embarrassed by that (lack of) showing yesterday. Worst thing that is happening right now is that the record - even if BC loses out - will make it look like the program is getting better. It’s not but the improved record will likely mean no changes after the season.

Sorry for the rant - I want BC back to being a good team every week that is fun to watch. Was at the game with family and a ton of friends yesterday - great time tailgating - wish we stayed out in the parking lot instead of going in to the game.

Peace.

Thoughts on the BC-Fairfield Game

  1. I f Post stays healthy and continue his strong play, he should easily make All ACC 1st team and consideration for All American at the end of the season.
  2. I was pleased with Prince's performance. He didn't force anything and played within the team's offense. He played good D. too. I would like to see him take it strong to the basket more like he did in the opening mins of the game.
  3. I knows it the the first game, but Hand has some catching up to do on the defensive side. In addition, he's needs to be more physical when blocking out for rebounds. Offensively, he shows no fear shooting the rock. This could be a good thing when someone needs to take that clutch shot at the waning moment of a game.
  4. I like the two freshmen. Payne looks like a pure point guard and handles the ball well. Strong bring energy and physicality and he barking away. Reminds me of Dreymond of the Golden Warriors.
