I just heard from a friend today that Fred Willis passed away on July 4th. He was a great running back for the Eagles and he also played on the hockey team.
No cause of death was given . He was 75.

I’d say a fireable offense for how this baseball offseason has gone. Guy has not won any kudos for work done to date and this Birdball end of season is embarrassing. I’m not saying Gambino is anything near Bobby Cox - but you just had one of the best years out of the past 30 and you let assistants walk obviously because you wouldn’t pony up. Then you announce “all is well” with a 5-year extension to the head coach (alum/former player) who bolts 2 weeks later. And he goes to a program is a vastly inferior conference who hasn’t been in the ncaas for the past 23 years.

They want only 2 conferences. They give sec and big all the coverage (free advertising). It makes their job simpler. People that knock our performance need to consider that we have always been on the outside when it comes to national image. Look at the acc contract. The league was dominant in hoops and a major football power but we got a fraction of what the other two leagues are getting. This is not recent.
