Reasons for optimism

It’s fall camp and the vibe on this board is as bad as any of the preseasons I’ve been here for. CFB is supposed to be fun, and for 98% of CFB fan bases, fall camp is the high watermark of confidence and optimism. I listened to unnecessary roughness’ ACC preview and they (rightly) picked us as one of the worst teams in the acc. That’s no fun.

Before toe meets leather and we lose to NIU or something, what are some things we’re optimistic about? I’ll start:

-oline has nowhere to go but up. Experience is key, and we have a ton of that. Mahogany and the transfers are legit. Morehead will have time to throw,

-morehead might be a stud. He was thrust into one of the hardest spots amy freshman could’ve been and has some very bright spots. He has an absolute cannon of an arm, should take a big step forward in his second year

-wrs are going to be one of the best wr groups in the acc.

-defensive line has more experience and some transfers, they might be able to get some pressure going

That’s pretty much all I can think of. What say you?

Complete transparency for scrimmage coverage Sunday

1st half hour (8-8:30) open, probably mostly stretching. Team is then closing it to the media until 9:50. Don’t ask me why. Basically, I’ll see about 40 minutes of actual action. So, just before anyone jumps down my throat for not providing thorough coverage (it can get ugly on here fast I’ve quickly learned), I’ll obviously be doing my best with the limitations. Appreciate the understanding in advance. I’ll still have stuff up tomorrow, just may not have a ton of answers yet…
