This is not the time to get conservative and hire guys with 20 years experience that have never moved up in their lives.
Here is my plan for BOB:
1st Hire: You want to get a good QB to BC? Hire the M2 QB guy from MA as QB coach. He has produced more D1 Qbs than any coach in MA history and he has done it in the last 5 years. This guy knows how to coach fundamentals. He has coached all these kids since 6th grade and brought them along to sign with places like Georgia, Clemson, A&M, etc. I'm sure he can help TC with his fundamentals too. A good coach is a good coach. Similar to how college hoops teams bring in AAU coaches for the pipeline.
Bring in Marrone as OC to bring veteran leadership to a young staff. He can coach the coaches as well as the players on what it takes. Friends with BOB and great OL coach. Makes sense
I'd call the former BC stars such as Blackmon, Herzy, Luke, etc. Offer them jobs as position coaches. These guys have all made a lot of $ and will be loyal to BC building something great. They also have instant credibility with recruits both high school and the portal. We don't need salesmen like AAR who is just trying to leverage the job into a bigger job.
Do what it takes to get AL as DC/AHC Sell him that you are building the structure for a BC revival that he can one day call the shots for. He can bring BC defense back with his buddies like Blackmon.
Hire a defensive version of Chud to oversee the game planning as well as grow the inexperienced coaches.
Keep Huggins, Applebaum, and Wyatt unless you have a better option. If Snee wants in I'd keep him too but he doesn't seem to want a bigger role?
Geographically
Luke and Al take Midwest recruiting
M2- New England
Huggins- NJ
Wyatt- South
Applebaum- OL- whole country
Herzy- PA
Blackmon- Northeast, DB's nationally
