ACC Rumors

My son graduated from Clemson at the end of last week. While I was down there I talked to a number of parents who are also Clemson grads. They say that the ACC and ESPN are negotiating with Clemson and FSU on a buyout. They are confident that something will be worked out. There is a chance that UNC stays as they think they would be big dog in league plus the extra buyout money. Clemson fans would prefer that Clemson ends up in SEC over Big 10.

I was hoping that there would be no more conference changes until after Clemson’s visit to BC in 2025.

Recruiting

I thought before the 23-24 season, BC basketball team was loaded in the backcourt and sort of borderline in the front court depth wise, particularly at the forward position. How often did we see Madsen or Hand defending the 3 opponent! So what did the coaches do, they recruited two low profile guards. Currently, the BC basketball team has nobody who fits the 3 position profile and we have just Strong as a power forward. Yeah, maybe Earl will luck out and find some players from the transfer portal. However, I still don't understand the strategy of signing up two guard recruits.
