Well, my sub to the site expires later today and probably won’t be renewing any time soon, but just wanted to say thanks for the times (sometimes good but mostly just sharing in misery) posting with you all on here the last 3 years. I joined the board while bored out of my mind finishing up my freshman year at BC remotely after COVID sent us home, and just wrapped up my time here a month ago while trying my best to be a (occasional and not always correct) student insider for you guys. Thankful for all the great people the online BC community has helped me meet. I’ll be on TOS with many of you for now, but feel free to shoot me an email at my username @comcast.net to talk BC or anything else if you’d like. Appreciate you all and I’m sure I’ll see some of you at Alumni in 68 days.
Three elderly people were murdered in Newton, Massachusetts, and an attempted home invasion happened about half a mile away, putting the community on edge.
Apologies for the lack of content the last couple days, was up at Lake Winni, but BC's busy recruiting month continued to produce some good news on Sunday.
1. Please give the presidential medal of freedom to the person who decided US Open final rounds and Father's Day were a match made in heaven.
2. Please give the Order of Lenin like in the Hunt for Red October to the person who made West coast majors end in prime time.
3. I am on a solid gambling run. Had Grillo when he won at 80-1. I've been taking longshots and backing those picks up with top 10 or top 20. Cashed Cole and Hubbard top 10s in Canada at +550 and +900.
For the US Open:
Got Scheffler at +850 a few weeks back.
Homa 30/1
Cole to win 275/1
Cole top 10 16/1
Cole top 20 +600
Wyndham Clark 100/1 to win
Theegala 110/1
Hedged a little on Clark already. Hope to do some more around when the leaders make the turn. Lost Spieth and Carson Youngs bets already.
His official to BC was his second time at the Heights and he doesn't have any other visits coming up, but does plan on announcing soon, fwiw.
Only question is whether he is a take for BC but he was very excited talking about the visit just now so that's interesting. Also spent a lot of time with Cam Gwinn on the visit, who I have a pick in for BC.
Lot of talent at the 7-on-7 camp here inside Fish. CM, Bishop Hendricken, Springfield Central, Melrose, Woonsocket, New Bedford, Cathedral all represented. I definitely haven’t seen every team here yet either
Hearing De'Andre Cook & Syair Torrence are scheduled to visit this week/weekend. Not sure which guy is coming which day, but they're both going to be here this weekend. BC also has a big man camp on Wednesday and a 7-on-7 camp Thursday. Torrence is listed at 5'11, 194 out of Syracuse. He'd be another dynamic receiver in a growing list of them to recently join BC. Meanwhile, Cook is a 6'4, 258lb. edge out of Washington DC that Coach Vince could have some big plans for.
