Thoughts on the BC-Fairfield Game

  1. I f Post stays healthy and continue his strong play, he should easily make All ACC 1st team and consideration for All American at the end of the season.
  2. I was pleased with Prince's performance. He didn't force anything and played within the team's offense. He played good D. too. I would like to see him take it strong to the basket more like he did in the opening mins of the game.
  3. I knows it the the first game, but Hand has some catching up to do on the defensive side. In addition, he's needs to be more physical when blocking out for rebounds. Offensively, he shows no fear shooting the rock. This could be a good thing when someone needs to take that clutch shot at the waning moment of a game.
  4. I like the two freshmen. Payne looks like a pure point guard and handles the ball well. Strong bring energy and physicality and he barking away. Reminds me of Dreymond of the Golden Warriors.

Halftime thoughts from the press box

Yikes. Didn't see this coming.

1. Castellanos still isn't a good all around QB

Been saying it for weeks, future Heisman candidate if he puts it all together, but as a decision maker/passer he has lightyears to go. 1st pick he stared down, second one was just an under thrown ball. 182-43 passing yards gap is atrocious.

2. Worst tackling performance of the year

Also atrocious. Just whiffing on guys everywhere. This has hints of Louisville in it, hopefully the second half doesn't look as bad,

3. Not sure about Elijah Jones

Few of us didn't really realize he wasn't out there until late in the second, still trying to get word on why but obviously it's a huge blow

4. Missing Robichaux

98 yards at the half as a team isn't bad, but it's clear things just look and feel different when he's in the backfield.

5. Student section showed up, don't expect them to stick around

Already emptied out for the most part. Could just be getting beers, but if I'm a college kid here I go drink in the lots, another perfect day for it.

6. Now what?

This team has struggled coming out of halftimes and VT gets the ball. It's probably over already, but 38-7 and it's really over

BCWoman's Cross Country

Women qualify for the NCAAs next weekend with a second place finish in their regional. Well done ladies!

BC WBB

That is why after 25 years of support, I no longer attend BC WOMEN’S BB GAMES

The coach is just average and the team is just average. She cannot recruit great players and have not done so since she arrived 5 years ago. Do not waste your time or money going to a
Mediocre BC game

Hafley's Turn-Around

Really nice to see the season (and Coach Hafley's fate) make a U-turn these last few weeks. That said, we are currently ranked #90 in Rival's recruiting. When might we expect to see some similar revival in our recruiting to match all the bowl talk and season success discussion so common lately? We only have 10 commitments and trail other ACC teams badly.

Game 1: Fairfield at Boston College 11/6 8pm

ACCNX/ESPN+

BC opened as low as 10.5 favorites. Up to as much as 14. I bet it at 13.5 (-105). If some alt lines open up, I might go as high as 25. I'll probably bet a first half line, too. Fairfield is in some turmoil. They don't have all their guys and BC needs to put their foot on a weak team's throat for once.

BC 82- Fairfield 55.
