State of the program

We can nitpick all we want about coach Grant, but this is a brutal job. Lets not be delusional. Managed differently could they have made the NIT this year? Maybe. That said, he is building a culture and i think we are being too critical of him given the facts of NIL, we've been bad for 15 years, another 8 years before that and another 8 years before that.

I'm usually an optimist about all things BC. They are a much deeper than they've been for some time. That is a positive. They are fielding a team. In any circumstance it takes time with this program and candidly i'm not sure we can get the Jimmies and Joes needed to be a top 25 team especially in the world of transfers and NIL. And it's all about that talent to win consistently against the talent we play. Our top end talent is just not there. QP is excellent but he has very little support. I love Glock but he's undersized. Aligbe is a HUGE disappointment at least relative to high expectations. He's so limited and a horrible offensive player. Horrible. JZ is a solid guard - strong but slow, GREAT glue guy, but unathletic. I like Hand but big ? mark. Madsen is limited but can shoot. Claudell Harris is a rental and he does not have the mental fortitude or the consistency. Chas Kelly is raw at best, is a big guard who struggles to dribble and shoot. Mighty hustles but raw and limited.

What do we do next year without Post?

Grant needs some serious luck to move this thing forward in a meaningful way. And conte forum sucks. Its an old hockey arena.

Sit down interview questions for Bill O'Brien

Myself, John Sarianides and Adam Kurkjian will be live with BOB Saturday morning from the Big New England Clinic down in Newport, RI. Scheduled for between 9-10 AM (waiting on exact confirmation)

Anything in particular the fan base wants us to ask? (within reason obviously). I'm curious to see what people are most interested about at this point. We should have him for 15 minutes. Interview will be on Facebook (New England Football Journal page), Twitch (NEFJ page) and on X (@newftbj)

Women's lax loses natty rematch vs. Northwestern (Game story/quotes from Walker-Weinstein)

For the roughly 2,000 people that braved the elements in Newton today (1,528 to be exact), a tip of the cap. Froze my ass off more than I have at any game I've ever covered in 15 years of doing this. This shouldn't be the last time these 2 teams meet either, both should be in the Final 4...
