Sounds like it is a hot team vs a hot goalie.

Blake Pietila (2.28 GAA, .920 SV%)

Pietila has the ability to win games for the Huskies when it looks like they are outmatched. Take last weekend’s CCHA title game in Bemidji. The Huskies were outshot by the Beavers 35-27 but aside from a first period Bemidji goal, the fifth-year senior stopped every other shot, including 17 in the third period alone, to carry the Huskies to their first-ever Mason Cup championship. If he’s on his game, he automatically gives the Huskies a chance to beat anybody, and he’s been on his game for most of the second half of the season as Tech has made its run to the NCAAs.


I am assuming our 4 first rounders will be a little more precise with their shots over 3 periods that what Pietila has faced, but I hope we don't come in cocky. Anything can happen with a hot goalie and Pietila's save % is about the same as Fowlers so he is no slack.

Team needs to focus and do what they are capable of and lets get the first one in the books. Go BC!

Two games down in Clemson, S.C. Won first game 4-0 over the 16th ranked Tigers and shutout in the 2nd game 10-0. Wanted to give the girls a shout out.

Expect very little, if any, impact. Word on the street.

I usually don’t crank it up this early but after last night’s 12-2 loss to Wisconsin I am firing up my plea for BC to get rid of the coach. The program is underachieving dramatically. Completely fallen apart.

Congratulations to Cutter Guithier for winning the Walter Brown Award!

The Gridiron Club of Greater Boston announced Wednesday that Boston College sophomore forward Cutter Gauthier is the recipient of the 72nd Walter Brown Award, presented annually to the best American-born NCAA Division I college hockey player in New England.

Really impressed by BOB's recruiting efforts so far. Namely, the sort of feedback from recruits upon receiving offers and/or visiting campus. Also he has been getting some highly rated kids on campus, and has seemingly been really well received locally with top recruits / coaches. There is a buzz and optimism around the program unlike any I have seen in following the program since the early 90s. I get that the importance of HS recruiting is now probably the third most important element of roster building behind keeping your top kids in the program and tapping into the portal to fill immediate needs, and NIL is now where the rubber meets the road, but still impressive what he has done so far.

Why do we always get the coach after the coach? Adazzio replaced by Ruhle, now Grant replaced by Pat Kelsey. BC- always a bridesmaid
