Couple Comments and a Question

I don’t care if he 5’ 2”, Clinkscales can play. The interception was nice but the ball was thrown right to him. I was more impressed by the tackle he made on one of Allen’s big runs. He sprinted from the other side of the field, caught Allen from behind, and cut his legs. Great speed and effort play.

He lacks top end speed and sometimes takes bad angles, but I really like Pupel. Tough kid who is great in run support. Made a couple of real gritty tackles last night.

Those two are typical BC guys - they have clear flaws that kept them from playing at the highest level but are competitors who can play a vital role on a winning ream.

Question - what happened to Washington, the CB transfer from Harvard transfer who Hafley was so high on during the preseason?

Changes Needed?

I think the ballon starting to air out with TC. After watching the last two games, the defensive teams are stacking up the line to stop the run and have TC become a passer. As u can see, the results have not been good. In the Conn. and tonight's game. The offense was pitiful to say the least. I was hoping Hef would pull TC and put in Morehead to get the offense going. If I was Hef, I would give Morehead more rep in practice because the future scenario for TC does not look promising.

Uml thread

Uml is a middle of the road hockey east team. The difference between being an elite team and being the Bc of years past is winning games we’re expected to win.

We have yet to play bigger, older teams like UML, so we have some growing today. A sweep is expected IMO.

Proud Coach

So PFF released their top FCS player grades. My tackle from 2 years ago, Delby Lemiuex is a Sophomore at Dartmouth College and is the top rated tackle in the FCS with a 90 grade. He was 6-4 255 in high school but the big boys said he is too small. The only high school film for a local lineman I have seen that is better is Chris Lindstrom who ironically enough was undersized when he was recruited. Delby went to Dartmouth and started as a true Frosh as 265. Now he is 285. He will get up to 300 by next year and then drafted his senior year but will have to move to guard in NFL. Wish BC took him on and redshirted him. He is a maniac in the weight room and the college strength coaches have called us up saying from day 1 they had him demonstrating lifting techniques to the entire team because his form was perfect.

Update on '25 ATH Bradley Gompers

Caught up with Bradley Gompers after his visit to BC this weekend. Earlier in his recruitment he picked up offers from BC, Pitt, West Virginia, and others.

Gompers broke his collarbone earlier this year and he only recently returned to action in Central Catholic's last game. His hope is the team can make a run and he can put together some quality film from the postseason. Says he's currently healthy and had a good first game back.

However, because of the injury his recruiting died down and there wasn't much happening for a while. He's starting to jump-start that again by visiting the schools that had offered him before the injury, which is why he wanted to go to Boston College.

BC has stayed in touch with him and is very familiar with his situation. He had a great visit yesterday and really likes the school's academic prestige as well as the current win streak. Was indeed able to connect with the staff again.

Definitely a '25 prospect to watch and one that feels pretty good about BC given the circumstances in his recruitment and how they have stayed with him.

Zackery - Hand

I I beginning to question if JZ should be getting major minutes or be playing during crunch time. Reading the emerging D. Hand appears healthy and scoring points makes me wonder if we have the best chance to win with Hand in the back court with Harris while Zack coming in as a sixth man. Don't get me wrong, I admire Zack because he's a baller for his intense defense. However, Zack is limited as a scorer because he's doesn't have the athletic ability to finish drives and is an average shooter. If DHJ continues to emerge into the initial part of the season, I hope Grant will have him playing major minutes
