*****2025 NFL Offseason*****

Super Bowl odds is a nice way to kick this off. Did I take a little nibble on Pats? Of course. Took Burrow +750 to win MVP. 9 home games. Some bad teams and/or gross defenses on the schedule. The guy was 5k yards/43/9 last year. Went 6-3 down the stretch while scoring 34, 27, 38 in losses. Lost to the Ravens twice by four total points. Chiefs by one. I would see them getting to 13 wins. With his stats, that's a solid way to start the cold, dark stretch of the NFL offseason.

Question regarding NIL

Starting soon, colleges will be able to pay their athletes up to $20 million. For the bigger schools, they assume most of that money will towards football since that pulls in the revenue.

What about non-football schools like St. Johns? Does this give them an advantage in that they can spend a lot more money buying their basketball players?

Goodbye Maine

Adios. Normally wouldn’t take satisfaction in that but some real BlackBear prick fans in Manchester today.

Your team isn’t even in the regional. Fine. Want to come and watch playoff hockey nearby - perfectly acceptable. You want to cheer for the underdog Bentley, I get it. But holding up signs “BC Sucks” when your team isn’t even in the regional, to me that’s odd. I despise BU but can’t ever envision going to Worcester and holding up a sign “Sux to BU” during a ncaa game if eagles are in a region out west.

Perhaps some karma tonight

Brown

clearly nobody cares that hes in the portal and rightfully so…When it was obvious he was not the player as advertised, why did he continue to get big minutes while Towes and Payne sat? Earl is such a fraud. God, I miss Al and flex in a phone booth

OT: 2025 MLB Season

First of all, 2025 sounds like a year in Buck Rogers but here we are. Second, pretty good pod I listened to in the car. C's, Sox, Pats game coming up. Middle part was with Lou Merloni. Interesting take on the free agent class and trade ideas. Good way to kick this new thread off short of a Soto deal.

State of the Program - Why would Dudley even come here?

With no NIL $ and program relevance for the past decade why would ANYONE (let alone Dudley) want to come coach at BC? Donahue, Christian, and Grant have all showed that it is nearly impossible to resurrect this program and bring in talent. Getting rid of Skinner was the biggest blunder for BC hoops. Coaching BC basketball has unfortunately become a place to end a promising coaching career, not launch it. So sad.
