PS: I thought the CW had some really interesting and useful camera angles I've not seen at Alumni before. Not much exposure but to me a superior broadcast to ESPN2.

Notre Dame has put on the full court press and their expectation is that they can pull off the flip.

BC hasn't seemed to do anything wrong in recruiting him, just a big pull there and he did go through with a recent visit to South Bend.

Don't think this is going to catch the Eagles completely off guard but they may try to dissuade him until the eleventh hour.

It’s going to be James this weekend. Still waiting to hear if we have practice access tomorrow, but have 2 sources that have told me he’s getting the nod. I expect O’Brien to keep it under wraps so SMU has to plan for both.

Thamel will inevitably “break” the news before the game.

Got to turn this thing around. Always a rock fight no matter the records and always a nice win to get. Regional rivals, recruiting rivals and conference rivals lots of positives can come from this game.

The offense needs some confidence. I’m unsure how they find it unless they installed the wishbone over the last week.

In this week’s BBJ is a transaction showing BC buying the piece of land on the southwest corner of the Beacon St and Hammond St intersection. They paid $3.8MM for it and it doesn’t look like a very big piece of land but is obviously in a great spot. Apologies if this has already been reported.

What I am looking for: Offense. Specifically, Brown and McFarlane. Increasingly clear the key to any decent season.

Sorry this is up a little late, it was like sitting on Rte. 1 trying to get out of there today and Rte. 9 was no better.

I'm not taking the victory lap just yet...

-I've never believed more in my 'TC isn't that good' take than I do now. 14 yards passing (2/7). The pick was on him (behind Harris) and he missed a TD to Reed as well early on. He's a runner that happens to play QB and he's not even running. Why stick it out with him at this point? You lose this game you probably aren't making a bowl.

-Running game has been impressive. Holes have been pretty big which means the O-Line is performing and McDonald has been a nice little surprise. I'm still baffled as to where Ward's role has gone in this offense, but as long as they can run the ball this room is still the deepest they have.

-The DB's are undersized and inexperienced. It's also annoying watching them NEVER turn their heads around, which is obviously a coaching thing.

-Special teams is still non-existent. Huge problem, especially as the weather changes.

-Fantastic crowd today (although it's like 50/50 Cuse & BC fans).

-Cuse wins this game going away unless something drastically changes with the passing offense. Can't run them to death, McCord is going to start putting more drives together.

Narrower than I expected despite playing in Chestnut Hill. Not betting, but if I were …. Gotta go with the visitors. No pressure on McCord means big trouble.

What I am looking for: Can we Frankcenter anything close to QP by way of Venning and Hasting? 40 minutes/14 points/10 rebounds/rim protection/no foul machine would be a nice start. But us not forget the first game of the '06-07 season when Shamari Spears scored 23 points/6 boards (Duds had 19) against NH. And Tyrelle Blair had four blocks. But, a nice data point would be welcome.

Why?: Zero starters from last year's Citadel team are back. Three seniors and twosoph. As much as we should never be close to a team like that, they were #255 in kenpom and early non conf games on the road can be tricky, especially that bandbox. That's much different than younger and smaller and ranked #344. I can see the defense not being perfect with rotations, etc. but this team should put up 80 points and cover the spread unless there is some crazy 3 point variance. Last year's Citadel had a 6'10" senior who was a 3 year SEC starter for a decent Vandy team. There should be tons of buckets in this game off junk.
