Womens Hoop Thread

Figured even though I think I am one of the only ones on here who follow them, that they need a thread. I would say that they “deserve” a thread but coach McNamara deserves nothing but to be removed from my alma mater.

By way of review. She underachieves dramatically with a high profile group of players including two players who are among the Top 10 to ever play for the Lady Eagles. Never sees an NCAA tourney. The team was a dumpster fire last year but bad losses and from what it appears just brutal chemistry.
One of the seniors transfers out in the midst of an NIT game, which, by the way the Lady Eagles lost at Columbia. Yes Columbia. Pretty much everybody else in the program who could dribble transferred out as well including the two top 10 players who transferred in conference so they can play AGAINST their former head coach.
Then the coach, realizing that her house is burning, skips town to interview for the West Virginia program where her roots are. She was the assumed favorite to get the job, right up until the minute where after she interviewed, WV, said we are going in another direction.
There is something that has gone on, and though it only interests me, multiple inquiries to the Rivals writers returned no solid information.
Anyways the Lady Eagles start tonight at home against U-Mass Lowell. There are maybe only 2-3 games on the whole schedule where you can pencil in a W. This is one of them.
The Lady Eagles are going to be awful this year, and I expect them to win less than 10 games. I hope I am wrong…but I won’t be.

Notes on official visitors

Players have been returning to their respective homes via flights after a weekend of official visits at the Heights.

I've been able to connect with three of the players so far.

First things first, I'm logging a futurecast for Michigan ATH Desman Stephens. Don't know a timetable and don't want to count chickens before they hatch, but from everything I've heard there was a lot of mutual interest here. Really one of the most fascinating players in the entire 2024 class because he's about 6'3, 220, and can play safety and linebacker.

Jiquan Sanks from Alabama and Camren Campbell from Florida are both corners and the highlight of their visit was Jeff Hafley. They were kind of amazed at how present Hafley was at everything they did. Most head coaches are just "closers" as recruiters, but Hafley is there every step of the process and his track record coaching top shelf DBs and also his personal involvement has BC right in the thick of it with both players.

Sanks does still plan to take OVs to Indiana and Cincinnati, and Campbell will still be at Michigan State, but both players said their opinions of BC improved a lot and the trips far exceeded their expectations.

OT: Ireland

There's Rick Steve's guide book and then there is the EA message board.
We are going to Ireland for approximately 11-12 days at the end of the month.
We are staying in N. Ireland with friends for 5 days so that part of the trip is all set.
Then split off and spend 3 days in Galway and then 3 in Dublin.
I think we are going to do the Aran Islands and see the Cliffs of Mohr.
We will have our 5-year-old so we didn't plan an aggressive itinerary.
Any recommendations on what to see, do, and where to eat in both Galway area and Dublin?
I know this board hates Ireland but figured it is worth a shot to ask.
Always appreciated!
