Got to get a strong win today. ACC competition is always tough but I feel this is one of the weaker teams in the conference. A must win going into the bye and start the month of Oct right.

I look for the throw game to be crisper today.

-Not challenging the Jackson INT was wild, hoping to get an answer postgame. Ultimately scored that drive, but still.

-It's like the staff got sick of answering certain questions from us this week and answered them all in the 1st quarter. Morales involved. McGowan involved. Better play calling (have a day Will Lawing). Crouch showing the LB's can cover after all.

-Need to see more McGowan. Mind boggling they can't find a way to use his speed more.

-TC's start is why they made him sit in the pocket more during camp instead of just taking off. Looks real comfortable and delivered quickly and accurately.

-Pass is elite for the most part. Ezeiruaku was relentless those first two possessions.

-Feels like they're still getting away from the run a little too much. Obviously when TC is dealing like that you ride it, but I wouldn't mind a few more handoffs to Turbo or Ward to slow things down even more.

-That's just a tough judgement call on the Johnson ejection. Got mostly shoulder, but also a little face mask and clearly lowered his head. If it wasn't called I don't think it's even reviewed, but it was and it did.

-That's 2 straight weeks giving up long, chip-away drives at the end of the half. This one is way worse than the WK field goal drive at the end of the half last week because UVA had to start at its own three. Hoos got bailed out with the one second thing after such a dumb play call and terrible execution with 9 seconds left, but that's just bad by the defense.

-Overall it's hard not to like what we've seen so far. I stand by my take in the preview that UVA isn't nearly as talented as BC. Couple more TD's and a stop or 2 and this game is over. Can't let them get much at the start of the third though. Homecoming momentum - regardless of talent - could be a real thing.

TC rushing: 10 attempts, -9 yards, Long 6 and a key moment fumble.

Team: 65 yards on 29 attempts for a 2.2 average. We can't win that way. We can never win that way.

BC is NOT and should NOT be a split zone team. That's for the sissies in the Mountain West/B12 where they don't have OL.

TC isn't a dual threat anymore. We have clubbed his feet. Got in his head. Tried to turn him into a pocket passer - which, well, he's not.

Our guys can't seem to come out to start a game or the half with juice. When we get juice we can't sustain it beyond a quarter or so.

I'm laying this loss 100% on the staff. I'm ready to shitcan Lewis and Lawing.

After screwing it up against WKU, we did it again today. It was idiotic to use our second TO after 1st down when it about to be 2nd and 9 with 1:30 left. Should have waited until after 2nd and 3rd down (if necessary) to use those. Force them to decide to run out the clock or not with a running clock after first down. No way they score if we don’t give them that stoppage

No clue what the injury is — have seen speculation that it is a shoulder, concussion, or illness (mono). Even saw in a different thread that he got injured when fans stormed the field after MSU.

He seemed fine yesterday, but the UVA -2.5 line may seem as if Vegas thinks he’s out again, or it’s good betting value for the Eagles. Who knows

I HATE that kind of football and mentality. You literally sacrifice an offensive possession for the timeouts of the other team - when they only need a FG with a guy who just kicked a 60 yarder last week.

So, you’re telling me you think your best chance is to give up on offense and assuming a touchback, stopping the other team from getting 25-30 yards against your prevent defense.

That’s gutless and you deserve to lose.

And if I’m on offense I now know you have zero confidence in me.

Just took a look at '26 QB recruit Corin Berry's season stats through last weekend. Happy to report the kid is crushing it.

Many times a team will select an opponent they are confident of beating on Homecoming/Parents Weekend. UVA selected BC. Neighbors of mine have a freshman son at UVa and will be going. Bragging rights are on the line. Hope TC can get healthy quick. Go Eagles.

Sorry about the post folks! I blame Google search results. By typing the word "secret", results from older years came up. Hence the original content here that included dates for the 2022 scrimmages.

Apparently the NCAA had proposed legislation to remove the "secret" from scrimmages held this season (2024-25). I can't find if the legislation was passed. Anyone else know?

Teams can still choose to play exhibitions or scrimmages though.
