Game 15: BC at Syracuse 9pm

TV: ACC Network
Line: BC +3.5
What does Kenneth Pomeroy think?: Syracuse 80-BC 76
How much does BC need this to make the tournament?: It would have been a five alarm fire if we didn't come back against GT. I think the most likely path to 12 ACC involves winning at least one of the next two road games. And I think this is the one. We finally have guys who can bust a zone. If Chas doesn't fire 3+ threes, I think we can win.
Will bshay21 bet this on the scale of 1-You bet your *ss?: You bet your *ss I will. BC +3.5/Claudell over 14.5 points/BC second half +1.5. +289.

Chas Kelly

I know a number of you posters are not enthusiastic with Kelly's performance this year. Yes, he does get erratic at times with shot selection and turnovers [see opening game] Part of that is because he's looking over his shoulder and trying to make things happen. However, he's an important assess because he is the best defensive guard on the team. He is long and quick enough to handle shifty guards. When he's out there on the court, the team is much more potent defensively. Offensively, Kelly and Hand are the only guards on the team that can drive to the basket and create foul shots. Kelly gave the Eagles a boost that led to victories over the Johnnies and G-Tech. I truly believe if he took Zackery minutes, than I believe Earl is giving the team a better chance on winning ACC games.

Where outgoing Eagles have landed coming out of the portal

DL Shitta Sillah - Purdue
RB Andre Hines - Wagner
DB Alex Washington - TBD
WR Taji Johnson - Buffalo
CB CJ Clinkscales - Charlotte
QB Emmett Morehead - TBD
RB Cam Barfield - Hawaii
WR Jaden Williams - Texas State
RB Xavier Coleman - TBD
EDGE Josh Hardy - NC A&T
CB Jason Scott - Delaware
RB Pat Garwo III - Nevada

** Boston College has seen 12 players go into the portal.

** The only player to go into the portal and land at a Power Five school was Shitta Sillah, who is bound for Purdue.

** QB Emmett Morehead, DB Alex Washington, and RB Xavier Coleman are the players who have not found a college home.

** The fact that eight of the 12 have landed at G5 or FCS programs is a sign that most of these losses probably weren't players BC was fighting tooth and nail to keep from going into the portal. BC may not have as much in its NIL war chest as some other schools, but they still have a very important asset to offer players looking for a bigger platform: Opportunity.

** On Morehead, I know some smaller schools like Tennessee Tech and Georgia Southern have been interested, but there has also been some interest from Florida. Probably a situation where he is a clear starter if he transfers down, probably going to be a backup if he wants the chance at the Power Five level again.
