Eagles on the road!

BC fans! Who is hitting the road with the team this year?

I've been out of commission for much of the past decade with a TBI sustained in a hit and run while cycling (bizarrely similar to what happened last night in NJ. RIP Johnny and Matthew), but believe my brain is finally at a point where game environment won't be too crippling. Finally getting back to traveling with the teams. I will definitely be cheering mens hoops in the Cayman Islands (and as a bonus running the marathon there the following weekend). I'll be at the womens hoops game at Arkansas - the 37th state I've seen BC play!

Football? I'm going to try and make most of the road games. ***If*** I can find a way from Orlando to FSU on game day? I'll be there. I'll definitely be at the Missouri game though I don't know how I'm getting there yet. At Virginia as well if I can find a way to get straight from there to my marathon in WV the next am (please be a morning game!). I'll only be at one home game (Cuse) as that is conveniently before a marathon in NH the next morning.

The face and body paint at games has long since been retired - though I intend to continue rocking it annually running the Boston Marathon!

Looking forward to reconnecting with the BC faithful! Go EAGLES!

Red Bandana game /dates

love the red bandana game and great to have this important tradition that seems to gain momentum yearly. A great message and lesson on the ethos of the school and celebration/remembrance of Welles. The team typically responds quite well

Going forward i think positioning the game on the week or close to it makes most impactful. The school should work to make this a priority in scheduling with OOC and ACC

Looking ahead

2024

Michigan state should be RB game at this point

2025

Work with ACC or maybe ND (happy to keep that separate as well) on 9/13 or a friday night 9/12 opponent . I prefer friday night vs miami unless they are making that the thanksgiving game which I'm fine with (gt ville miami nc state acc opponents at home)

2026

Rutgers it is? Maybe a fri night game

2027

Move uri ? Play cinci?

2028

Move NH? Or acc game 9/15 or 16

2029

Stanford works

Point is -going forward there should be advanced planning here to properly highlight the remembrance/game/etc. maybe that simply involves leaving that Saturday open and working with ACC or scheduling an OOC with RB in mind

🏈🦅🏈🦅🏈🦅The Official: (#24) Boston College Eagles vs (#6) Missouri Tigers game thread🏈🦅🏈🦅🏈🦅

Tough to analyze this game. I don’t have the respect for Mizzou as most despite the ranking. Herby already said BC does have the athletes to match up vs Mizzou. I do not believe this is as slanted he thinks. This is more of cookie cutter analysis on a SEC vs ACC match up. To me Mizzou doesn’t have a SEC DL especially the DT’s. This is the key for me and what makes true SEC teams better than other conferences.

OB has gotten a lot of credit for his play calling but I haven’t seen anything that’s really deep into the playbook. The way they pushed FSU around they didn’t have to dig deep. So I look for Lawling to be able to give Mizzou some real problems.

No one is talking about the analysts OB has brought it reminds me of what Saban did but having Ernie Adam’s breaking down tendencies has me a little gitty.

Go Eagles!

Visitor List for Red Bandanna Game

BC will have a whopping 87(!) recruits on hand Saturday night. Here's the full list (and once again, apologies if the list of names we didn't have graphics for is jumbled. I have no fricken clue what's going on, still trying to figure it out)

OT: BC Womens Lax Update

BC has 4 of the top 25 recruits coming in next year, all 5 stars. 2 of them are in the top 5. As far as I can tell they have not picked up anyone (yet) from the transfer protocol. Having said that, unless something very unexpected happens, the transfer portal will not be as fruitful as last year. Still hoping to hear if any of the seniors come back for a grad year. Let's reload. BC!
