This edition of The Rundown is jam-packed with scoop you won't find anywhere else. Please keep it on this board.

Ray Marten commitment note

Ray Marten hasn't responded to inquiries since his BC commitment. I'm assuming I've still got the right number. I've spoken with him before and frankly his choice was not a huge surprise, but the pickup is very big.

Marten could play a number of positions in college but my understanding is he's being brought on as a tight end.

Commitments show well at camp

Hearing that Scooter Harrington and Brandon Barlow both were among the top performers at BC's camp this weekend.

Harrington is always going to do just fine in an environment like that. Barlow looked good, I'm told. He still could stand to gain some more weight and pack onto his frame, but he's not being brought on as a massive strongside end. BC wants quick, long pass rushers in this class, and Barlow fits the mold nicely. He did what the coaches were hoping to see from him in that regard and seems to be progressing nicely.

I'm told Barlow's 40-time was exactly the same as it was last year but that's with a bit of added weight.

Sean McKeon showed up again and BC's coaches were happy, I'm sure, because he's seen a flood of recent interest. Tough to tell where exactly things stand with him. He's certainly still a take on BC's end and he looked really good. It's his physical maturation that's really led to his explosion.

McKeon ran better than last year and he's a lot bigger.

I'm told that Don Bosco and Bergen Catholic brought just about their entire teams to the camp. Sal Mauro, Gene Coleman and Emmanuel Appiah would be among those of greatest interest from Bergen's rising senior class. From Bosco, Brandon Simon was one the coaches were eager to size up and one they like.

Some Connecticut guys showed up, notably Windsor ATH Tyler Coyle who, I'm told, ran very well.

As expected, Andrew Homer made it from Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier.

Kolton Huber, a receiver from St. Peter's Prep, ran good routes and is really a technician at the position. He's not the fastest guy in the world but that's not his calling card. I'm told he's going to get the ball if its in the vicinity. Still no offer but that could conceivably change. His teammate, rising junior Ben Petrula, showed up looking pretty good. He was a tad smaller than expected. At the Rivals camp he measured about 6-foot-5 and 321. Apparently he's slimmed down because I heard he was closer to 300.

I asked whether Sean Clifford and Jordan McAtee might both be takes. As of right now it looks like a one quarterback class, but with all the QB/ATH types BC has recruited you never know when the position might thin out due to a player moving elsewhere.

Clifford ranked as the No. 3 QB in the Rivals QB Challenge. Very impressive.
