I am really surprised at how many games the baseball team plays-55 games before the ACC tournament. The games are mostly played on weekends but that still takes a lot of time away from academics. I think it is similar for softball. Since we are in the ACC there is a lot of travel involved and also because the season starts in February the team goes south for the warm weather. How many players on these teams are on scholarship? It is a real big time commitment. Does it make sense for the school financially and for the players academically?
