Tons of movement again this week. P12 taking a real ass-whipping. Only Wazzou able to hold serve at this moment.
Once again, we're stacked with the two that beat us, which is exceedingly rare. Won't be the case much longer. We'll likely start to drift away from the Pack one way or another this week. That game has now reached a distance away which downgrades it from a major loss to a more rounded one given 'since then' trends'. If we can hang closer to Clemson than they did an argument for us to overtake them is mounting. Obviously if they handle Wake to a much greater extent that we did that will mitigate any gains.
The real headline of all the data continues to be that its one hell of a top heavy FBS at the moment. Maybe more than I've ever seen. Its Bama, alone, with Clemson in overdrive and coming fast but with distance to make up. If you tease in the Lawrence effect with various extrapolations to see what their likely results would have been if games 1-2 had been his frosh curve games without Bryant in the mix its likely much more even.
After those two 3-9 are far behind, but all in one insanely even group. And then honestly, 10-40 could round robin each other into complete disarray. The separation in that group is paper thin and getting to be more or less irrelevant when you compare it with 1-2 and 3-9.
If this holds, and it seems to be firming rather than spraying this bowl season should be absolute insanity. Let's hope, that would be a blast.
