As someone who uses all tailgating hours and still gets in for kickoff, I still don’t like the trade off of tailgate hours. (Yes The took post game hours and traded it for pregame)
1) less than 50% of people in Robsham used the extra hour
2) it didn’t get people to go in earlier. Half people in at KO we’re from Tech
3) We have people from at least 4 different states at our tailgate all going different directions after the game and it would be great to have an hour to debrief and talk football. (As it was after the game we had to open tailgate just to put table away from pregame. we were surrounded by cops on bikes making sure we were actually cleaning up.
4) Players parent have tailgates, but players can’t even spot by the post tailgate to get food with their and other parents
If there were only 4 hours available, I would vote for 3 hours before and 1 after, at least for 3:30 - 4:00 starts. (I’m good for no postgame for true night games)
Now the good news was that there wasn’t a lot of traffic leaving due to the mass exodus after the 3rd quarter. (That I different topic and one I don’t try to understand)
