The March edition of the B.C. Chronicle states that "the average ACT score for admitted students is 33, while the average SAT score is 1465". I know I could not get in now. I am surprised at the these numbers especially if they apply to the schools of nursing and education. I know students spend a lot more time preparing for these exams but the scores seem very high, especially when you consider the number of students playing sports. I assume that a lot of the athletes get in with lower scores although I am not saying that B.C. does the same as the universities that have been in the news lately. I am also surprised at the number of games played by some sports especially baseball and softball which play about 60 games from Feb. through May. Considering the number of away games that is a lot of time away from school even if maybe 10 are are played during spring break.
