Rutgers announced yesterday that they will be paying scholarship athletes a stipend during the upcoming academic year. The stipends will be up to $4,200 for in-state students & $4,900 for out of state students. All partial scholarship athletes will receive pro rated amounts. It will cost Rutgers ~$1Mln this year & will be paid for through fundraising and trimming of athletic department expenses.
