I always find it interesting to look at the player rankings between these three sites. I found it amazing that ESPN had three OT in their top 10, with the top overall player being OT Trey Smith followed by former BC target Isaiah Wilson. What I was amazed is that Rivals ranks Smith as a four star recruit an #91 in the nation, where as 247 has him as #20 and a five star player.
JR, are there any notes behind the scenes on why Rivals talent evaluators have him rated the way they do? (This is not a post to try and justify or begin a discussion on why BC's or any other school's kids are ranked better or worse, but just to understand this one player.)
Also, one thing I also noticed is what would be a nice touch by Rivals is that when you click on the players list of school recruiting on 247 it gives the "temperature" of the player's interest which is something which I believe Rivals already does. The really cool thing is that they list all the recruits over the past recruiting cycles at that position. I am sure that it is proprietary to 247 but I know that the Rivals folks at times look for suggestions.
