I know there was a thread here about Phil Steele's preseason rankings, but I wanted to share some other content from Phil's 2019 publication that you might find relevant. I've had a copy every year for the past two decades and will be purchasing as long as he's putting the mag. Phil has taken it on the chin for a couple of significant oversights this year, like putting Missouri in a bowl when they're ineligible, but the amount of raw data and content is tough to beat.

- Anthony Brown is ranked the No. 44 quarterback nationally
- AJ Dillon is the No. 12 running back
- No top-75 wide receivers
- Chris Garrison is the No. 26 tight end & Korab Idrizi is No. 52
- Ben Petrula is the No. 27 guard
- No top-91 tackles
- No top-91 defensive ends
- No top-91 defensive tackles
- Max Richardson is the No. 27 OLB & Isaiah McDuffie is No. 48
- John Lamot is the No. 56 ILB
- Brandon Sebastian is the No. 43 corner
- No top-41 SS, no top-41 FS
- No top 25 K or P
- No top 20 KR or PR

Overall pretty brutal ranking omissions when it comes to both lines. Honestly pretty brutal individual player rankings from Phil this year. So he ranks BC No. 66 in his national power poll. But he does pick the Eagles to play in the Independence Bowl against South Carolina.

Overall: 5th in the Atlantic ahead of Wake and Louisville.

In terms of ACC unit rankings:

QB 5th
RB 2nd
WR 9th
OL 3rd (in spite of the lack of individual players ranked nationally)
DL 11th
LB 6th
DB 12th
ST 11th
Coaching 3rd
