Sorry to put another OT thread on the board, but it seems quite certain that global warming is causing more severe storms and heavier rainstorms (warmer air holds more H2O, and it has to dump eventually). IMO, this fact should enter into consideration of where one chooses to live, especially in retirement, when people may not have as much flexibility in getting out of danger and/or dealing with severe weather and its consequences.
