Saw a great Chronicle the other night about the rash of arsons/fires (264!) in Boston that started in the early 1980s I was born in December of '82 and frankly never even knew of the story and history behind it.
It's crazy to see some of that footage from then, and how much Boston has changed. At the time they had the lowest median income of any metropolitan city in the country, Mayor Kevin White had the city in near crisis mode, and I can't help but wonder how things could have turned out differently versus how Boston is thriving right now (except for their traffic crisis)
Do some of you that were in the city and/or around the campus/school back then remember this, and what the city was like?
Here's a link to the book written by the Special Agent in charge of the investigation.
