This is the dark horse team playing today but be careful with your money, the Mavericks are the Union and Yale of the last two years. Coached by Dean Blais the most experienced head man in the tournament they are a group of older guys passed over by the big names in college hockey, their goalie Ryan Massa is from Denver and is 24 and doesn't get rattled.
UNO is like UMass Boston, part of the University of Nebraska system but overshadowed by the big program in Lincoln. However the Mavs have a good following and Omaha is a pretty good hockey town having been the home of the Omaha Knights WHL team for years and they play in the 15000 seat Century Link Center. Don't be surprised if this team is a tough out for PC.
