I am heading down to the NC State game and looking for some recommendations as I start to work on logistics and look into Airbnbs, etc. In particular, what is tailgating like? Do I need to get a pass or is a free-for-all (or some combination)? Also, what neighborhoods should we look at in Raleigh? I have heard that Downtown and Oakwood are the best places to stay, though that recommendation was outside the context of attending a football game. Would it be better to stay close to (or within walking distance from) the stadium / campus? Thanks for any input.
