LB Isaiah Miranda - Boston College likes Miranda because he's a big, heavy (6-foot-1, 235 pounds) linebacker with the physicality to be a factor in practice pretty early on, and the hope is that he will gradually transform his body in the right way over the ensuing years and perhaps even compete for playing time later in his career. Watch Miranda's Hudl video here.

QB Aiden Hegarty - He's a dual-threat quarterback from Hilton Head (S.C.) who actually had offers from Ohio and Charlotte. Apparently Hegarty knew Loeffler for a pretty long time and that was a reason for him picking BC's preferred walk-on offer. I'm also told that he had 'offers' from Ivy League schools and football programs but opted for BC instead.

K Sean O'Brien - The Eagles have certainly added a lot of options at the specialist positions with O'Brien now in the mix. O'Brien was a kicker and punter at Cincinnati (Ohio) Country Day. My understanding is the BC staff mostly just liked this kid on film. They think he's got the raw ability to really refine his craft and become a really good kicker.

DE/FB Taylor Hill - Here's a 6-foot-1, 240-pound jumbo athlete who has played in both the offensive backfield, as a utility player and a bruiser/blocker, as well as on the defensive line. He obviously doesn't have ideal height but he does still have some room to fill out and the staff likes the way he fights. One source told me that Hill's an impressive undersized defensive tackle who is "good in all phases of the game," and I was told he could be a special teams contributor for sure. Here's his Hudl page.

RB/ATH Sean McFadden - Boston College doesn't frequently recruit Minnesota but that's where McFadden hails from. He attended St. Thomas Academy in Mendota Heights and was a really productive player. His connection to the Eagles: His sister attended Boston College. McFadden's got two brothers who walked on at Stanford, and I'm told this McFadden was accepted to both BC and Stanford. But he wanted to be closer to his sister and that helped BC's case. McFadden is undersized but BC likes his positive attributes and they also believe he can help on special teams. Hudl video here.
