We need a recruiter with ties to New England AAU. I want someone who can also sell BC...someone who played here, who won here, who made it to the NBA...who has coached New England prep and AAU...who has terrific AAU contacts...as someone who could finally coach up our big men....essential with the rules changes implemented yesterday.
Let's replace a Murphy with another Murphy. The AAU pipeline has to be fixed....I want an inside guy, an AAU guy, with ties to BC...that is Jay Murphy...Bates and Christian, get this done. No grad students from TCU as an assistant as eagle28 is suggesting will happen....hire Jay. I think with Spinelli and Murphy we might finally break through, at least we would have a chance in starting a New England AAU pipeline...but hiring some no name grad student will not be well received by the BC fan base. Hiring Jay Murphy? It would be a home run....would energize the BC base and provide some hope....something in very short supply at BC
