I am not a clinician, but anecdotal evidence (among my fellow BC fans and reading the posts here) seems to indicate a strong correlation between having a passion for BC basketball and "seasonal" depression.
Some say that depression is simply "anger turned inwards". I am not a ranter, but, it might be healthier (for me, of course, who else matters?) to vent more. Healthier, of course, but, as effective as standing on the shore and trying to reason with the incoming tide.
Perhaps this is therapy for me. If so, sorry to take up your time. (Well, of course, not really.)
So, back to the Beanpot.
But, since misery does love company, I will continue to visit here regularly.
Thank you, doctor.
