Rather big news out of Atlantic Hockey as all 11 schools voted to increase scholarships to the maximum 18. They will phase it in as I believe they just recently moved to 14 from 12. This was probably in response to the overtures likely to come to the western AHC schools from the WCHA if the Alaska schools drop hockey. Minnesota State and Arizona State both sought NCHC membership but the NCHC decided to stay at 8 while things play out with Alaska and Hockey East with the Notre Dame move.. Also the AHC has made major moves in some of their facilities. RIT and Canisius both moved into brand new state of the art arenas. AIC has moved to the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield, Bentley has broken ground on their new arena, Holy Cross is experimenting with the DCU Center and Sacred Heart is about to make Webster Bank arena their full time home giving half the league Hockey East quality and sized arenas. This should be a vast upgrade for the AHC to move it more in line with the other 5 leagues.
