By the Numbers: Comparing BC and FSU

Boston College and Florida State are very different teams than they were at the end of September. At that point, the Eagles had just stormed out to their first 4-0 start since 2007, while the Seminoles had stumbled to their first 0-4 start since 1974.
But BC—without starting quarterback Phil Jurkovec—was about to experience its own four-game losing streak, and FSU was on the verge or rattling off three straight wins.
It’s been a roller coaster season for both of these programs: one an up-and-comer in the ACC and the other a sleeping giant. That said, they’re each coming off significant wins and playing their best football of the season.
So their season stats have to be taken with a grain of salt considering how many ebbs and flows there have been, however, here’s how BC and FSU shake out on paper.
