It is not surprising since Notre Dame, Clemson and SMU are on next year’s home schedule.
Here is the email from Blake James:
I would like to thank you for your unwavering support of our programs, coaches, and student-athletes. Your commitment to our mission enables Boston College Athletics to compete at the highest level, both academically and athletically, while fostering an environment that exemplifies the Jesuit values of leadership, service, and citizenship.
In the quickly evolving world of collegiate athletics, significant changes are taking place that impact all Division I programs. In order to support our student-athletes, maintain competitive excellence, and fulfill our obligation to the Boston College mission, we must look to increase revenue and philanthropic support.
Revenue Sharing and Roster Limits
Revenue sharing and expanded roster limits present new opportunities and challenges for collegiate athletics. While we welcome initiatives that further support student athletes, these changes come with significant financial implications.
Strategic resource allocation is necessary for Boston College to maintain its competitiveness nationally. Your ongoing generosity will help us make sure our student-athletes get the all-encompassing support they require to succeed—both in the classroom and in competition.
Adjustments to Ticket Prices and Parking Donation Minimums
As part of our continued efforts to support these initiatives, Boston College Athletics will implement modest adjustments to ticket prices and parking donation minimums for the 2025 football season. These changes reflect the increasing costs of supporting a premier athletics program and align us with other institutions in the ACC. It’s important to note that parking minimums have not increased during the last five seasons.
Your contributions will directly enhance the experience of our student-athletes, from scholarships to facilities to the day-to-day resources that empower them to thrive. We remain deeply committed to making Boston College Athletics a source of pride for the entire Eagle community.
We are excited about the opportunities ahead and the continued growth of Boston College Athletics. Thank you for your unwavering passion and support. Together, we will continue to soar higher.
Go Eagles!
Sincerely,
Blake James
