Atlanta (Ga.) Pace Academy athlete Deon Jackson picked up an offer from Boston College today.

The 5-foot-11, 182-pound 2017 prospect is from a territory that Al Washington has obviously recruited very heavily in recent recruiting cycles.

Boston College is his second Power Five offer, with Rutgers being the first. He's got a lot of smaller offers to his credit (see profile).

Jackson is a three-star prospect ranked the No. 47 athlete in the class and the No. 52 player in Georgia. In most states those ranks would make you wonder about the player, but in Georgia players ranked in that range routinely end up as Power Five kids.

He was primarily a free safety for Pace last year.

Not quite the 'perfect' or ideal length for a player at DB in today's game but 5'11 is by no means too small. Has pretty solid speed/athleticism and a really strong, compact build. Could be a good fit by the look on film.
