BC womens hoops are coming down the stretch with two weeks left, and a very tenuous (if that) hold on an NCAA tourney bid. Espn has them as the 2nd to last team in before last nights grinder of a home win over a bad Pitt team. Anyways BC sits at 16-9, and 7-7 in conference. BC played a weak out of conference schedule, so they are not getting a lot of help there. They have 4 regular season game lefts, and they are all projected to be tight games: 3-1 will likely put them in a good spot before the ACC tourney. 2-2 puts them likely needing some more work to be done in the ACC tourney. 1-3 and they will probably need a finals appearance or outright win of ACC tourney. As for the games, they are:

1. At FSU: Huge game. FSU is also 7-7 in conference, but only 13-11 overall and not even listed on the bubble. I think this is a tough spot for BC. They play tomorrow night so quick turnaround from last nights game and its on the road where BC has been non competitive.

2. Home to Wake. Wake is 3-11 in conference. Have to have it. No other conclusions here.

3. At Duke: May be essentially a play in game. Duke is only 6-8 in conference, but is listed safely in as a 10 seed in the ESPN bracket. A win here, would be huge for BC's resume. A loss wouldnt be fatal, but one you may look back on if you dont get in.

4. At Syracuse. Cuse is 4-10 in ACC. Senior day for them. New coach, they are rebuilding, but this guarantees to be a tough one.

I dont have high expectations that BC can go 3-1 on the road. They have been brutally inconsistent form game to game, even possession to possesion.

A win tomorrow night would give them a touch of breathing room, not a lot, but one where there is still a patch to tourney without having to win in Durham.
