It's the last week in February and BC hoops just won back-to-back games. Dare I say the team has even shown some poise, leading FLA St (albeit undermanned, but so were we) wire-to-wire and then jumping out again and also executing very well down the stretch a few nights later in Raleigh. You have to go back to 2015, Olivier Hanlan's last year at the Heights, to find a BC team that did better than 1-4 in their last five regular season games -and that's the only time it happened under JC. Even JRob and Ky faltered down the stretch in 2018 winning only one regular season game between Valentine's day and the season finale (although they did win two games in the ACC tourney). Granted, the ACC is an absolute dumpster fire this year, but this is Grant's first year with a limited roster....it's great to see the team buying into his system this late in the season at a time when we are accustomed to watching BC teams stumble. Different players on the roster are putting in solid performances on a given night, offsetting the readily available injury excuse that's been used in prior years.

Looking forward, they've got Clemson tomorrow and Miami next week at home and then a final road game at GA Tech. Certainly opportunities to pick up another win or two to really reverse the typical BC slide at the end the season. There's even the outside chance they end up 9th in the conference and land a first day bye in Brooklyn, although extended success in the conference tourney is a little much to ask for from this club, even if you trend on the optimistic side. I just hope they can maintain the effort they've shown the last few games for the remainder of the season, then let the chips fall where they may.
