New York - Ralph Friedgen (67) is stepping down (out) as Rutgers OC after only one season on the job and with a year remaining on his contract. He will stay on as a special consultant to Flood. Josh's younger brother, Ben McDaniels, has been named the Scarlet Knights new OC and its sixth OC in six years. Ben is 33 years old.

Is this story really news? Don't know but Rutgers fans were hoping for more. With their newly-found Big Ten money, and no disrespect to McDaniels, but is Ben the best man Flood could find for the job? Rutgers will start the year with a new QB, and 3-4 new offensive linemen. Wish Ben a lot of luck but it will be a steep uphill climb.
