Late last week I posted that Belmont Hill wide receiver Jake Bobo (2018) would be visiting Boston College over the weekend. That trip did take place and I'm hearing it went very well.
Is Bobo a candidate to become BC's first commitment in the 2018 class? That I'm not sure of. But according to a source the trip was good "as expected." I'm told that Bobo visited with his father and a teammate.
Bobo apparently camped at Boston College this summer and he had visited at least one time prior to that, unofficially as a recruit.
We've got him listed at 6-foot-4, 175 pounds, but I'm told he's probably closer to 180 and ticking upwards, so his frame is starting to fill out. He's still got plenty of room to continue growing.
Don't assume that Bobo is a project because he's pretty lean. I'm told that BC loves this guy's ability to catch the football. He has a big catch radius, can be a downfield threat and his best asset would be his hands. He's a polished pass-catcher. That and his size -- BC wants size at receiver -- are the two reasons he's a big-time target for the Eagles in the 2018 class.
