Only a Dem. proposal at this stage. Would need a Dem. congress, I believe. And then Rep. as well as Dem. governors to accept the 50% funding from the federal govt. Would apply to families earning less than $125,000. Where would you send your child? UMass? What are other options? No effect on scholarships, of course, but what of effect on school finances? Would BC increase its Catholic identity?
What will free instate tuition do to private schools like BC?
