Apparently Ethan Wiederkehr's visit to Boston College went pretty well. He's already talking about returning.
Wiederkehr has offers from Rutgers and Maryland.
Wiederkehr is well-known throughout the region and by many colleges as a top 2017 prospect of interest. He's 6-foot-5, 260 pounds, and the Shoreham-Wading River lineman is ranked the No. 4 recruit in New York from his class.
Maryland and Rutgers have offered. BC has not - yet.
As EagleAction.com reported he would last week, Wiederkehr visited Boston College recently and came away impressed with the Heights and everything he experienced.
"The facilities and everything were just gorgeous," Wiederkehr said. "I went up there and I came away with a really good impression of Boston College. It was my first time being there and it was really nice.
"The coaches came down to our school and wanted to really take a look at me, being that they're up north here and I'm a Northern kid, too. They wanted to see what I was like," he said.
The "feeling out" process continued through Wiederkehr's visit as the coaches had a chance to size him up in person and he got to know a lot more about them and the school.
"At first we watched the whole practice, which was nice," Wiederkehr said. "After that we went on a tour with a recruiter and he took us around campus and through the whole football facility."
Wiederkehr did not leave with an offer but he left with the distinct impression that the Eagles are interested.
"They didn't really go into depth (as far as) what kind of player I am. I know the head coach hasn't seen much film of me," he said. "He wants to see more film of my junior year before he decides what he thinks.
"I'll most definitely visit again. I think it's a great school. I'd be very interested in visiting again."
Wiederkehr said he visited Syracuse recently, just before he visited Boston College, and said that was "a very chill visit" as well.
