Some headscratching scores from yesterday and also a sobering reminder that no win, is ever, a freaking bad win.

Temple Maryland- not just beat, but crushed them. A true stunner

Cuse besting FSU wasnt a huge shock, but the manner was. Syracuse is not known for their D.

BYU beating Wisconsin in Madison is the most craziest of the day. Completely stunned. BYU won 3 games last yr.

San Diego St beat AZ St, which isnt a huge upset, but coming off a win over Michigan St, certainly a let down.

Fresno trounced UCLA, prob not an upset either, Fresno has a good team this yr, and almost rowed the boat last week at Minnesota, but the domination was surprisng. Jeff Tedford can coach.

Troy beat Nebraska, in back 2 back yr, Troy has won at LSU and at Lincoln. Neal Brown will almost certainly have a P5 job this offseason.

Akron beat Northwestern, at NW. My favorite upset ot the day by far. The Pat Fitzgerald ppl sort of lost their leverage on this one. I mean Akron isnt really a good P5 team, although 3 second half defensive TDs from Akron is somewhat fluky.

North Texas crushed Arkansas, North Texas, aside from having the best unis in CFB, have a really good team this year, but after getting rolled by Colorado St last week, not a good start for the media loved Chad Morris

Texas crushed USC, a week after struggling to beat Tulsa. Texas was supposed to be back, then then lost to Maryland, but still believe in their talent.

As far as future opponents go, Purdue lost at the buzzer on a FG for Mizzou 40-37. Purdue QB threw for over 500 yds. 0-3, but not taking next week for granted, this score should demonstrate Purdue's danger on O.

Louisville beat Western Kentucky 20-17. Their O is completely out of sync, but they found a way.

Crazy Saturday, and one that made me relish Thurs Night a bit more. Anything can happen when 18 and 19 yrs old step on the field.
