So it looks like the roster on the BC athletic site has been updated recently. What is interestesting to me is a lot of the guys appear to have lost weight versus gaining. A quick comparison to the last depth chart shows guys like Frank Taylor, Harold Landry, Myles Willis, Conner Wujciak and others are a bit lighter. The weights provided in both the depth chart and roster are typically off a bit one way or the other but it seems the trend is toward a lighter, and presumably, quicker team.
Very different from the days of Tom O'Brien when the rule was the heavier the better. I'm conflicted as to whether this is a good thing or bad - we're best as a smash mouth football team, and the players dropping weight doesn't seem to play to that strength. But maybe there is a balance to be struck between a smash mouth attitude and the added quickness associated with dropping a few pounds?
I guess we'll see.
