I don't have a lot of time now, but if you watched that game and are still clinging to the conclusion/pipe dream/drug-induced fantasy that Jeff Smith is the QB for this team at this moment you need to get a new hobby/sport to watch as you're out of your depth here.
He looked completely lost, as anyone with a brain would have expected. I counted three total plays in his package, and ran some of those incorrectly. He's a talented runner, he's not a world-beater there yet in any respect and he doesn't look physically ready to me.
Our WRs are in a bad way. They were not open, they quite on nearly every route I saw them run, several which could have been completions.
Flutie gives us the best chance at this moment. He's still not had any time as a 1 even in practice, but showed promise for sure. I continue to see that he's the best passer on this squad, including counting Wade.
Some of you don't know/understand what you're looking like, some of you are profoundly biased for some reason. I continue to think Smith will be a good one for us, but not before he has 30% of the playbook.
