Have finally had a couple of conversations that answer some questions that have floated around in recent weeks and especially recent days.

First, someone asked about Daniel Abraham and Brian Abraham, in-state cousins who have been on BC's radar. They did camp at Boston College last week and from what I was told "they both did tremendously well." What that means as far as where they are in BC's pecking order, I don't know. I asked whether that means they're guys they want now or are "wait and see" guys, and I didn't get a 100-percent clear answer but I interpreted it as maybe them as "down the road" guys. Both of them did camp at Duke. "Both of them are guys (BC) could possibly want," I was told.

Here are some other camp standouts from the first part of the summer, as it's been relayed to me:

OL Kristopher Banks (DePaul Catholic, N.J.): A 6-foot-4, 280-pound offensive guard with offers from BC, Buffalo, CMU, JMU, Kent State, Marshall, Rutgers, Temple and UCF.

DB Elijah Clark (Parlin, N.J./Sayreville War Memorial): A 6-foot-3, 165-pound two-star cornerback who is committed to Temple but has an offer from BC.

ATH Zack Magdis (Dudley, Mass./Shepherd Hill): A 6-foot-2, 230-pound athlete from the 2018 class.

OL Aidan Rafferty (Washington, D.C./Gonzaga): A 6-foot-6, 285-pound high three-star (5.7) offensive tackle with offers from Arizona, BC, Louisville, Maryland, NC State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, UVA and Virginia Tech.

QB Matt Valecce (BC commit): I was told he looked really good at the camp. Showed up at 6-foot-5, 218 pounds and ran around a 4.8-second 40-yard dash, and those times aren't inflated. The opinion of this guy is through the roof along the same lines that prompted me to praise him here a couple of weeks ago. One person said, "I honestly don't want to say the name Matt Ryan, but no one knew who he was going to be either. He's a program-changing kind of player," of Valecce.

OL Tyler Vrabel (Houston, Tex./St. Pius X): A 6-foot-4, 255-pound three-star (5.6) tackle with offers from Cincinnati, Houston, Memphis, Ohio and Toledo.

RB Iggy Reynoso (West Lawn, Pa./Wilson): A 5-foot-11, 205-pound running back we've mentioned before. Has offers from Army, Bucknell, Central Connecticut State and Cornell.

OL James Petrovcik (West Orange, N.J./Seton Hall Prep): A 6-foot-3, 285-pound offensive lineman (listed as a tackle, measurables are more guard-like) with offers from JMU and UCF.

WR Jackson Parham (Hillsborough, N.J.): A three-star wide receiver from the Class of 2018 listed at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds, with offers from Army, Bowling Green, Monmouth and New Hampshire.

OL Anthony Marinelli (Wayne, N.J./DePaul Catholic): A 6-foot-3, 280-pound three-star center with offers from Army, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Delaware, JMU, New Hampshire, Fordham, Towson, UCF and W&M.

I also heard about an impressive rising ninth grade quarterback at St. Joe's Prep in Philadelphia, although I haven't caught a name yet.

OTHER NOTES

Heard that BC is likely to take one more linebacker to complement the several they already have. It seems like the No. 1 guy in their sights is Nick DeNucci of Pope John XXIII but I also heard, "There are a couple of other guys and it could be whoever wants to come on first."

Asked how good BC feels about its linebacker class and got the impression folks think it's very solid, right in line with what many of you all have expressed. I also get the impression people are very high on Valecce, Dirstine and Jehlani Galloway. That last guy is someone folks are very high on, and they believe he's going to blow up.

Hearing that BC will take at least one more DB. Offensive line may well be a priority moving forward.
