BC needs to avoid special teams mistakes, which did in GT Saturday.
How the game was won: Georgia Tech had plenty of self-inflicted wounds, but none loomed larger than the special teams miscues. A botched snap on a punt set up one Duke TD. Bad coverage and tackling allowed Duke to return a punt to the 1 that resulted in another score, and DeVon Edwards’ 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown added the finishing touches of the Blue Devils’ win.
I am worried about our kicking game. While Howell's punting stats look respectable, he has not looked as strong the past couple games. We have hit 2-3 FG's, but nothing long. Good news is that we have not missed an extra point this year.
