Today we'll take a look at BC's remaining running back options from the Class of 2017. Once again, it's worth noting that camps could turn up someone (or more than one player) who could expand the target pool, and that would be a player they've evaluated in person. But going into BC's camp season here are the uncommitted players worth keeping an eye on.
Trace Christian - He's a three-star running back from Florida who has been on the recruiting radar for some time, but only more recently picked up an offer from Boston College. I think he's the kind of back who could thrive in what the Eagles want to do. Runs with some strength but has enough speed to break a big gainer.
Malik Davis - Another from the Sunshine State, the 5-foot-11, 187-pound back from Tampa (Fla.) Jesuit isn't quite as big as Christian but runs very well. He's got a bunch of offers from schools all over the country, but not all of those schools have zeroed in on him as top options, so I think BC could have an "in" if they commit to him and go all in all the way.
Jon Lovett - The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Marlton (N.J.) Cherokee back has heard quite a bit from Boston College and his offer list isn't quite as long as Davis', so I'd say BC is pretty safe bet to be a short list option for him.
Antwione Sims - This guy has a lower to the ground (not short), stout build, and is more under the radar with BC and Presbyterian as his only offers for now. I'm sure the BC coaches would prefer if he could camp, so we'll see if he can make it up for that.
Fullback Ben Miles of Louisiana (Les Miles' son) is certainly a different kind of player than a conventional running back, and Connecticut's C.J. Holmes (four stars) is an all-purpose guy. BC has a shot with both but not sure how realistic they are right now.
