From BCI. This makes sense, given Bates abject failures and his inability to raise $,( the same reason that his exit from Miami(OH) was so welcomed.
The real problem is:
That both leahy and bates are lame ducks. The ideal would be for the BOT to fire bates now, bring in a new AD and have him/her evaluate all aspects of the bball and fball programs. And then come march 2017, make whatever changes are needed/obvious.
But would anyone let Leahy choose the next AD? Not me. Leahy doesn’t have to live with his choice and given his undisguised rent seeking from the ACC, what interest would he have in hiring a top flight ad?
I do not see any solution to this mess. So very easy for insulated bureaucracies like BC to do nothing than look in the mirror and recognize that there is a problem.
