First off, the recruiting "dinner" is no longer a dinner. $50 gets you a free bottle of PowerAde. For real.

Everyone got a nicely done 2015 Signing Day Magazine with info about every recruit, pictures, season stats, and accolades. Nicely done.

The staff often talks about how "rankings don't matter," However, in the magazine, it noted when players were highly ranked by ESPN or Rivals. It also listed all other offers that a recruit had received. Hmmmmmm.

19 of the 26 recruits camped at BC. This is obviously very important to the staff.

19 of the 26 recruits were high school team captains.

Gabe McClary is slotted for corner. Coach Lempa mentioned that he is 6'4" and has extremely long arms.

Jim Cashman is apparently slated for guard, not tackle. James Hendren is looking like the starting RT.

Eric Lindstrom came to campus in January at 240lbs. He is already up to 257.

John Phillips is already up to 6'7" 295lbs.

Don Brown said that Sharrief Grice came to BC camp, and that through all his years of being involved in camps, Grice was in his top 5 camp performances of all time.

Mehdi El Attrach is slotted for safety all the way.

Brown expects some big things from Harold Landry next year.

Coach Albert (DL) said the mission for 2013 was to get to the QB more (and they had 36 sacks); the mission for 2014 was to stop the run (and they were #11 in run defense). He said the mission for 2015 is to get to the QB with 4 rushers. And he then said with a lot of conviction, "We WILL get to the passer with 4."

Michael Walker is definitely slotted for defense. Lempa said he could play either corner or safety.

Tanner Karafa was recruited as a MLB, but Brown said he could end up playing some DE.

Sharrief Grice was recruited to play the KPL role.

Coach Leonard said that Chris Garrison is slotted for the Bordner/Crimmins role. Then he commented that Garrison runs a 4.5. Then he said, let's be real here for a minute, Bordner and Crimmins were 4.9 guys.

All the coaches talked about how they believe they have dramatically improved team speed in the last two classes.

Daz was asked a question about facilities and handled it well, saying he and Bates have been doing a bunch of work on that etc. However, you can tell he is absolutely PISSED that we don't yet have one in the works. Said that Syracuse and Wake already have facilities in the works and their efforts stated AFTER he and Bates got started at BC.

Robinson, Borgersen, Lindstrom and Martin were all at the event with their families. Nice touch.

The staff seemed particulary high on Zach Allen (DE) and William Harris (S)

Daz is really being cautious/realistic about next year. Said they got to 7 wins in each of the last two years, and he thinks next year's team "is in about the same place." He must have mentioned about ten times, how young they will be next year.

Any questions, let me know. I'll post more later if any additional pertinent thoughts pop up.
