This is not to be a slight on any of our current QBs, but I don't know why we abandon the process of recruting "Pro Style" quarterbacks. I think we have a much better chance of recruiting higher ranked pro stlye QBs then we will of getting the top ranked dual threat QBs. Clemson is always going to out recruit us for the Boyd's and Watson's, but we have less competition chasing the 6'4 pro style passer. Stanford has struck to this strategy and it has worked. And I'm not saying we would out recruit Stanford for these guys, but there are less teams looking for this style. I would settle for a top 10-15 pro style guy vs the number 50-60 dual threat. And over the years we have had good success with the Pro Style guys: Ryan, St. Pierre, Hasselbacks etc.
Getting Wide receivers, now that's another story, but maybe we get some bigger WR recruits if they know we are going to run a pro stlye offense. (I don't know why any wide receivers would come here with this offensive stlye.)
